Support the Arts and
Cultural Education of our Community
In order to ensure our programs are accessible to all, we rely on all donations big and small to keep costs low and support the events, classes, and other work we do at Lakeland Cultural Arts Community. Please consider donating however much you can so we can continue the great work for our community!
LCAC Donations
Choosing How Your Gift Is Used
By default, donations support annual operations.
Donors may designate gifts specifically to the Endowment.
Endowment gifts complement, but do not replace, annual giving.
If you have questions about how to designate your gift, we are happy to talk with you.
Transparency and Reporting
The Endowment balance and activity are reviewed by the Board of Directors monthly.
Endowment information is summarized in our financial reporting.
We welcome donor questions and value open communication.
Your generosity makes both today’s work and tomorrow’s stability possible. Whether you give annually, support the endowment, or do both, your gift helps ensure that this organization remains a permanent part of our community.
Thank you for investing in our mission.
Our Commitment to Donors
We are committed to using every gift responsibly, transparently, and in alignment with our mission. Because our work depends on a mix of annual support and long-term planning, we offer donors clear choices about how their contributions are used.
Donors may choose to support the organization in one of two primary ways:
Annual Operating Support
Endowment Support
Both are essential, and both help ensure the organization remains strong and sustainable.
Annual Operating Support (Most Gifts)
Annual gifts support the work you see happening today, including:
Productions, programs, and events
Artists, technicians, and contractors
Marketing and audience engagement
Day-to-day administrative costs
Volunteer support and coordination
These gifts allow us to present work, serve our community, and pay people fairly for their contributions. Annual support keeps the organization active and vibrant. Without it, we cannot produce shows, host programs, or serve audiences.
Endowment Support (Long-Term Stability)
The Endowment exists to ensure the continued existence of the organization — even during periods when programming may be reduced or paused. Endowment gifts are invested and protected to support the organization’s long-term stability.
With Board approval, endowment earnings may be used to support essential fixed costs that exist even if no shows or programs are taking place, such as:
Facilities costs (rent or mortgage)
Utilities
Insurance
Minimum staff salaries
Required administrative and legal costs
Endowment funds are not used for:
Specific productions or events
Artist or contractor wages tied to programming
New or expanded programs
Marketing or fundraising campaigns
Extraordinary Circumstances
In rare and unforeseen circumstances that threaten the organization’s continued existence, the Board of Directors may authorize the use of endowment funds — including, if necessary, a portion of the endowment principal — solely to preserve the organization. Such decisions require a supermajority vote of the Board and are documented in official records.
